Week 14 - Phase 2: Sunday. Final Gabion finish

I didn't intend to do anything today, as I had work to do (Lecturer marking and what have you), but I got it finished pretty quickly and had a few hours, so got on with filling the top section of the Gabion.

This is how it was looking on Friday when it rained.

This is the end of Today - Sunday. The Gabions apart perhaps for some minor tweaks are done. On this one at the back against the wall on the right I've left a hole in the rubble (Large Breeze blocks) and built a cavity that hopefully birds might nest in - Wrens or Pied Wagtails would be a result, perhaps a blackbird? The trick will be getting them to find it.

The next step (Excuse pun) is to construct the Gabion steps Phase 3 and that'll start tomorrow. I've made a mock up version tonight and it looks like I may have all the materials at hand to crack on with this with very little spending till I need to buy the Railways Sleepers and it looks like I'm probably going to be buying them a few at a time.
